Christy Lynn: Elegance With a Touch of Edge
I discovered one of my new favorite designers, Christy Lynn, by scrolling through my Instagram feed one night when I couldn’t sleep (see you can find lots of good stuff on social media). I was instantly drawn to her feminine designs that are both elegant and sophisticated but have a bit of an edge.
Although Christy Lynn now resides in Houston, she is a veteran of the New York City fashion industry. Having spent more than a decade designing under Catherine Malandrino, Elie Tahari, and Nanette Lepore, it’s no wonder I instantly fell in love with her clothing!
Her line is filled with timeless, feminine pieces, made from luxe silk, featuring floral prints and specialty laces custom made in Italy and France. Oh, and the black leather shorts you’ve seen me wearing…are like butter!
Christy believes that clothing creates an opportunity to inspire others. Her fall/winter 2020 collection was inspired by the elegance and effortless beauty of the 1970s. Christy pulled inspiration from women like Bianca Jagger walking through the streets of Paris. Yes please, I am here for that FULL fantasy! Give me all of the draping fabrics, belled sleeves, flared pants, and wildly patterned caftans, please!
“Our clothes are an extension of who we are, so take us with you, with an intent to love and inspire.” – Christy Lynn Lee
Her namesake collection is still in its infancy having debuted in 2019, but it’s been steadily growing a chic following from coast to coast. For more inspiration and information you can find Christy Lynn by following the links below:
