Benaar: Chic Resort Wear Hand-Picked in Los Angeles

Have you ever had one of those friends who always looks effortlessly chic, wearing pieces you’ve never seen anyplace else?  That pretty much sums up my friend Sherli Mikail.  We first met more than a decade ago when our kids were in pre-school together. I was always so impressed with the fact that she was a Dentist, but always had time to volunteer for anything and everything, and was usually on the decorating committee making sure everything looked perfect.

So it comes as no surprise that Sherli decided to start a new venture (on top of still practicing dentistry). She’s designed and curated a line of clothing that evokes the chicest resort wear that goes from day to night in a flash. The name of the line is BENAAR which comes from combining her sons’ names, Ben & Aaron.

I recently stopped my Sherli’s stunning home where we played dress up and I picked out some of my favorite styles for you.  When designing the brand Sherli wanted it to look like a dress from Zimmerman or a skirt from Marni with a price tag that was a fraction of the price.

She says she was inspired by always having a passion for curating and simply putting different pieces together, especially from all the places she’s traveled.  She loves bringing the European flair of Capri, Mykonos, St. Tropez and Morocco, and incorporating it into American Ready to wear. And because everyone has always loved her taste in clothing she wanted to make it accessible for everyone. The line is filled with cute sets, flirty and sexy dresses, skirts and blouses along with accessories like earrings and belts and again nothing breaks the bank.
