Nurse Jamie Well Clinic RX – NBC California Live

I’ve always considered celebrity skin expert Jamie Sherrill, better known as “Nurse Jamie”,  a bit of a superwoman for a number of reasons. There’s the fact that she operates one of the most successful med spas in the country (Nurse Jamie’s Beauty Park in Santa Monica), created a line of medical-beauty tools every celebrity in town swears by, not to mention her cutting-edge skincare products. She also created a makeover show for Netflix, “Skin Decision: Before & After”,  in her spare time. Oh and there’s the not so little fact that she gave birth to triplets! 

Now Nurse Jamie has opened a second spa, but this one is a bit different than Beauty Park. It’s called “Well Clinic Rx” and is located in Brentwood.  Here the emphasis is on the whole body.  From intense stretching to Emsculpt muscle toning, Cryotherapy, Lightstim infrared for the face and whole body. There’s even nutritional and hormonal help available as well. Jamie recently gave me a tour of the new space for the show I work on, NBC’s “California Live”.

I even quickly popped in the whole body Cryotherapy chamber while live on air. It’s exhilarating to say the least. Jamie says the benefits of whole body cryotherapy include a reduction in inflammation, improving mental and physical well-being. She adds regular visits can burn calories and boost metabolism as well.  If you are not quite ready to take the full-body plunge, the clinic offers local cryotherapy targeted to specific areas of the body to relieve muscle and joint pain…basically taking icing a sore muscle to the next level.
