Whoo-hoo it’s the first full week of June! I mean seriously am I the only one who is slightly freaked out that we’re almost halfway through this year?
Even though the official first day of Summer isn’t till June 21st… this outfit has Summer in Los Angeles written all over it, and who are we kidding, with our weather you can pretty much wear it year round.
The ladies from The Lady and The Sailor paired one of their simple white vintage tanks with this fun flirty skirt from Ulla Johnson (bonus it’s on sale now)… and they topped it off with this awesome signature denim jacket!
You can order all things straight from the boutique, and here’s a modified version to steal the same look on a budget.
By the way, what are you reading these days? For my birthday my best friend gave me the book “Brave Enough” from Cheryl Strayed. This morning I read a passage and wanted to share it with you. It’s funny how sometimes you randomly read something that your soul so desperately needs, and this book is filled with quotes she’s written down for herself over the years… I love a good quote for motivation, don’t you?!?! So here it is:
“NOBODY will protect you from your suffering. You can’t cry it away or eat it away or starve it away or walk it away or punch it away or even therapy it away. It’s just there, and you have to survive it. You have to endure it. You have to live through it and love it and move on and be better for it and run as far as you can in the direction of your best and happiest dreams across the bridge that was built by your own desire to heal. Therapists and friends can help you along the way, but the healing–the genuine healing, the actual real-deal, down-on-your-knees-in-the-mud change–is entirely and absolutely UP TO YOU.”
