Hair Biology: Tips for Healthy Aging Hair

*Thank you Hair Biology for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own! ♡

I can honestly tell you that I am enjoying getting older, and the woman I’ve become and am still becoming. I feel midlife and beyond have never been more exciting and full of opportunities.

What I don’t love however is the beating that my hair has taken in my 50’s. So I wanted to share some of what I’ve been doing to help with the dryness and thinning especially this past year.

For the past 10 months, I’ve been using this brand called Hair Biology. And at Hair Biology the philosophy is those good hair days don’t end at 50! The products are all designed to work with the biology of hair as it ages. More on that in a moment. I want to share some of the other things I’ve been doing as well.

I have laid off the highlights for a good year, using the most gentle of base colors, no bleach whatsoever, and I trim my hair every 5-6 weeks to take care of any of the weak ends.

I also went to a Doctor for PRP treatments. That’s where your own blood platelets, which are considered healing, are injected into your scalp to potentially reverse hair loss.

I’ve also taken hair supplements religiously and there are plenty on the market to choose from.

As for my Hair Biology products of choice, I’ve been using the Vivid & Protected Collection. This collection does just that, if you color treat your hair you can expect your strands to look good up to 2X longer after a treatment. The line is also super nourishing and is infused with biotin to support strong healthy hair growth. The products I’ve been loving are the Shampoo and Conditioner, the Color Sealing Mask once a week, and the Argan Oil Taming Serum to control any of my extra dry or stray strands.

Hair Biology has various formulas to fit your personal needs, including volumizing products, and so much more, all depending on your specific hair journey. You can pick it up at TARGET!
